Why should you attend Salesforce Events?

It’s been two years since my last major Salesforce event (Connections 2019) – before the world changed forever.

This year, nine of us embarked on the journey to Connections 2022 in Chicago, expecting to be charged with excitement and inspiration, and this inexplicable positive force that pushes you forward to meet and learn from others. And our expectations were met.

Connections 2022 highlights

Connections 2022 was an action-packed, two-day, hybrid event held physically in Chicago, during which Customer 360 took a front seat.

The main highlights of the event included:

  • NFT Cloud launch and success stories shared by Axe
  • Powerful Customer 360 features shared by Crocs
  • New features being launched that evolve the capabilities of Salesforce CDP
  • Coming back IRL to meet with friends you haven’t seen in years!

Why attending Salesforce events is a great idea for anyone

OK, let’s get back to the main idea behind this post.  Joining Salesforce conferences (Salesforce Live, Connections, Dreamforce) offers you significant advantages, including the opportunity to learn from others, expand your knowledge, keep up with the latest innovations, build your network and be inspired for the future.

I have been attending multiple events for nine years now, and I can assure you it’s worth it. Here’s why:

Inspiration.

I can’t stress this enough: If you attend an event like Connections or Dreamforce, you will be inspired and come back full of ideas to share with your team. The customer success stories and use cases shared in the sessions will help you get an understanding of other Salesforce features that can bring value to your business, and show you how other companies like yours use them. And you get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see and hear from world leaders (past speakers include Michelle Obama, Dwyane Wade and Michael J. Fox).

Connection.

Everyone you meet at these events will have something to share with you. Attending an event like Dreamforce will allow you to connect with other marketers who may be in the same vertical as yours and share knowledge that can benefit your career and your business.

Knowledge.

Salesforce events are packed with sessions for different job roles, from entry-level to advanced, in which platform experts share best practices and even real-life demos –like the one I did back in DF17. These sessions will not only get you to understand the platform better but also put you in contact with experts who can teach you even more!

Business.

If you are a business owner, take your team to Dreamforce. If you are looking for talent, it’s the place to go. If you are looking for new business, you will have the chance to network with marketers and leaders from top brands and maybe get the opportunity to work with them.

The next big Salesforce event will be Dreamforce this September. The event will feature hundreds of sessions, additional learning bootcamps, and keynote events with people like Matthew McConaughey, Bono, Jennifer Hudson and Alex Honnold, among others.

Whether you are a marketer working on the brand side or a developer at a digital agency, attending a Salesforce event (especially the upcoming Dreamforce) is a good investment.

Hope to see you there!
